The three stages of Sit and Go’s :
Early stage (you have more than 24 big blinds)

Median phase (You have between 14 and 24 big blinds)
When openings are growing and becoming a larger part of your stack, the strategy comes into phase 2. You become more aggressive and more special moves are incorporated into your strategy.

Late stage (you have less than 14 big blinds)
If the blinds are so high then your stack will suffer. Here come the most important phase of the tournament, all in or fold stage. This time you will either go all in or you will fold before the flop.

Your strategy in the first two phases is targeted to take you to the last stage. The game itself starts here.

ICM refers to a player equity in a prize pool based on the relative dimension of the remaining players stack and the distribution of the stack between these players. If you know your current equity you can use this to take decisions based on with how much equity you will lose or win after making some actions.
